IIT Madras won big at the Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards.

As per the official press release issued by IIT Madras, the BS in Data Science and Applications program won Silver in the ‘Best Online Program’ category. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning won the Gold in the ‘Lifelong Learning category.

The Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards are considered to be the Oscars of Education. The award ceremony was conducted at the Wharton Campus in Philadelphia, USA.

“We are honored to receive these awards from Wharton-QS Reimagine Education. Our BS program and The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning are examples of how technology can be leveraged to deliver high-quality education to students, regardless of their location. We are committed to continuing to innovate and find new ways to enhance the learning experience for our students," stated IIT Madras Director Professor V Kamakoti.

The Data Science program was awarded for being the best online degree program and for providing a hybrid mode of teaching and learning. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning program won for providing students with an opportunity for personal and professional development, including upskilling and re-skilling

IIT Madras' program for Data Science and Applications has more than 15,000 students enrolled at various levels. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning program offers more than 4,000 courses for certification and has over two crore enrolments and more than 23 lakh examination registrations from students.
